Betrayal at House on the Hill (3rd Edition) Insert
Yet another Betrayal at House on the Hill (3rd Edition) box organizer. This is compatible with all available 3rd Ed expansions: Werewolf's Journey, The Yuletide Tale, and Pennywise. Once you print this, you can pitch the other boxes. Now with sleeved support.
This layout will enable vertical storage if thats your thing. If Avalon Hill makes any more expansions, I'll adjust this to incorporate. There is definitely still some more room in here, as evidenced by the spacers.
Print notes:
- Print one of everything in higher level folder (depending whether you have Pennywise or not - read below).
- I have printed at both of the below and they work great so far:
- 3 wall loops, 10% gyroid infill, .2mm layer height
- 2 wall loops, 15% gyroid infill, .2mm layer height
- Enable outer brim for pennywise_spacer; no brims otherwise.
- Enable supports for betrayal_pennywise_main, and recommend set for .24mm top z-distance (if using .2mm layer height). No supports otherwise.
- SLEEVED vs. UNSLEEVED:
- If you have sleeved cards, print 1 of everything in the sleeved directory
- If you have unsleeved cards, print 1 of everything in the unsleeved directory.
- Sleeved version is experimental still - print at your own risk and please report back.
- Print as many card & tile dividers as you need to separate your various expansions
- Use extra space in Item and Omen sections and card dividers to store cards that don't fit in the event section but all non-expansion sleeved events should fit in that section.
- The Character Tile holder is very tight in the sleeved version. You have to be very careful to rotate your tiles and stagger the sliders to make it fit.
Other notes:
The figure holder even has a spot for the dog you can print from HERE .
The token holders came from another set but now I can't find the link to original one I used for those. They are the green parts in the pictures. If they're your design, let me know so I can give you credit. I made no changes to those two parts, I only designed a different box to enclose them so they were less likely to disgorge the little tokens everywhere, which happened to me frequently with the original lid.
Same thing for the room tile holder with the bury mechanic - it looks like the original model I remixed got removed - if the simple bury mechanic one was yours, let me know. Here I filled in the sides from the original so there is only an opening on 2 sides.
The remainder of the files are my original designs.
Update 8/15/2025:
Added support for Pennywise expansion. Added card divider and tile divider files. For this expansion, print all of original files except for betrayal_spacer_3_tokens. If you have already printed everything, just discard this part and reuse everything else. In the later pictures, the Pennywise expansion parts are in sparkling green.
I printed these at 2 wall loops, 15% gyroid infill, .2mm layer height. Enable outer brim for pennywise_spacer. Enable supports for betrayal_pennywise_main, recommend recommend set for .24mm top z-distance. Removing supports from this can be a pain but it's worth it to have them. I only printed these ones using different settings than above because I forgot to change them, and it worked well so I didn't mess with it.
Put the Pennywise Encounter cards in the Omen section of the main card box. You can use a betrayal_card_divider to keep them separate. You can use a betrayal_tile_divider underneath the tiles in the bottom of that box to minimize stress & wear on the 4 Pennywise tiles. Put the instructions with the other instructions. Recommend alternate spines so they don't stick up as much. Put the character token in betrayal_character_tiles. The rest of the Pennywise parts go in the newly printed box. Insert all as shown.
As an added bonus, you can use the tile divider files in the room tiles box to separate out the tiles from the other expansions, and the card divider files in the card box to separate out the cards the same way.
Update 9/6/2025:
Added versions for sleeved cards - changes a few but not all of the files. Print settings are the same. I do not have sleeved cards so please try these and let me know if they work. It gets tight with the orientation I currently have without doing a full re-design. May not be compatible with all sleeves but they should work.
