Six Sojourns Deluxe box organizer
The tuckboxes are attractive, but are inefficient for organizing or getting the game out onto the table. The other organizers I've seen are not vertical storage/transport friendly, and they use a lot of filament filling the space left over after the cardboard insert is removed.
This organizer keeps the insert, eliminates the baggies, organizes everything for quick setup, has no lid-lift and is impervious to box orientation.
- Each player has a base-game box that can be handed out.
- The Economy expansion bits are in separate player boxes and those are out of the way at the bottom (as it is probably the least used expansion). (Unfortunately, the Economy boards can't logically fit anywhere but at the top of the box.)
- Place the coins tray on the table for easy access.
- Each expansion has a protected, storage space to prevent mixing and any need for sorting.
- There is plenty of room for sleeved cards although my cards are not, and expansion cards have separate slots. I didn't separate each "Places" set, although you could probably use index card separators if you desire.
- All lids slide in with a secure "snap" and have finger slots for easier unlocking. Many boxes are labled including the Economy boxes with a reminder of how many player components should be inside. (I forgot to paint the seam line on the back in my print, so it doesn't look great. If you do that though in your slicer, the text should be a lot clearer.)
- The boards are difficult to get out, so I borrowed the handle from ChristianJHansel's design and designed a minimalist anchor that fits under the center rib of the insert. Thread a few feet (~ 1m) of cheap, gift ribbon, through the handle and anchor and tie it off (plenty of space for a knot without obstruction) and it works very well. See the picture with the boards lifting out.
Six Sojourns: Deluxe Edition 2025
Match filament
Keeps the insert (reducing filament need), eliminates the baggies (and tuckboxes), and organizes everything for quick setup with player handouts and separated and labeled expansion components. Has no lid-lift, is impervious to box orientation and makes the tight-fitting boards easily removable without risking damage.
