What changed: Thickened the posts at the base of the tile so that they are less likely to break. Thinned the back wall so that the red clear plastic lid would still fit. Deepened the slot for the cardboard insert so that it sits flush. Made an alternate version with slightly expanded slot for the cardboard insert to handle variation in printing.

Designer's Description

This is a remix of a Building Tile Tray for the board game On Mars that was originally shared by dthester. I liked the design, but felt it needed some improvements. The original tile base posts broke easily, so I thickened and widened them. In order for the red plastic cover to still fit on top, I thinned the back wall of the tray. I also increased the depth of the space for the cardboard insert at the front so that it now sits flush with where the tiles start.

The cardboard insert space in dthester's original is exactly the right dimensions for the cardboard insert (about 235 mm by 28.5 mm). However, my insert would not fit, probably due to a touch of overextrusion when printing using an 0.8 mm nozzle. I have included a second remixed version that has been slightly expanded (to 236 mm by 29.5 mm). My insert fit perfectly in this version.
