Hello,

for those that don't know my ‘insert philosophy’ - I am creating modular inserts that are focused on reducing setup and space on table, filament consumption is not my highest priority, but of course I'm trying to save some material where I can.

Important Notes:
  • I wanted to minimize required table space, that's why I went with vertical holders, but only few of them are vertical because I realized that getting everything back into the box could be a challenge and a puzzle if I would decide to make everything vertical.
  • I left some space for mini expansions, I hoped that I find them before finishing insert but unfortunately I haven't. That's why there is spacer which is stackable and there is space for four of them - one for each player, it can act as a dice tray.
  • There should be enough place for mini expansions, either inside dice trays or if you remove dice trays.
Supports:
  • sleeved card?? - unfortunately not tested, because I couldn't find sleeves for cards from the expansion, but I left some space for them, so maybe 50-70microns will fit,
  • Rivers and Roads expansion ,
  • vertical storage - due to weight of buildings I suggest to place it in the way that the vertical holders will be at the bottom, but either way it should work.
This insert features:
  • dice buildings vertical holders - buildings with dices are grouped together in single holder, there are ‘dice extractors’ that you should put before placing dices inside - to help getting the dices out,
  • buildings holders - I grouped buildings by color, in order to speed up looking for them during the game,
  • castle looking dice trays - in the box they act as a spacer, during the game you can use them as a dice tray.
Requirements:
  • about 1200g of filament (depends on your settings).
  • at least 168mm x 134mm print bed.
Instructions:

Supports - no supports required.

  • Spacer - print 4 of these - brim could be required, I needed to print these with brim but maybe due to printing speed (120mm/s).
  • everything else - print once.

##

What future holds:
  • If I find mini expansions - I will design holders for them, which will fit without replacing anything from this insert.

Enjoy!
