Dragon Coins - Wyrmspan (new version)

The dragon coins feature dragon scales on one side and a dragon wing on the other. You decide which is heads and which is tails. They are perfect for upgrading cardboard tokens from games like Wyrmspan.

I designed the coins in Fusion 360 and they are 20mm diameter by 2mm thick.

VERSION 2: I wasn't entirely pleased with how the scales came out, so I tried again after seeing Dragon Scale Fabric by ftobler . I used Fusion to incorporate the design from the fabric into a really large coin and then scaled it down to the size I want for the game. Both sizes of the coin are available: 60mm and 20mm diameter. The version 2 coins are pictured in silver and the original are pictured in gold.

I recommend printing with Silk PLA so that the results are shinny. The original photos are using Gold Silk PLA and the settings I found worked best were 0.1mm layer height (1st layer 0.2mm) with the scales up with monotonic top and bottom layers.

For the Version 2 coins, I printed in Silver Silk PLA and used 0.2mm for the dragon wing portion and adjusted to 0.12mm layer height for the scales.

I tried fixed 0.2mm and adaptive/variable layer heights which resulted in the scales not being shinny and having poor surface finish. I also tried printing with the scales side down and those came out horrible.
