Boardgame Insert - Monumental & All expansions (Retail) - Civilization Chest

Update 2024-10-27 : Added an alternative version of the lid for better handling.

This Civilization Chest is designed to organize and allow for quick setup and storage of the various components for each factions of Monumental as well as its two expansions ( Lost Kingdom & African Empires ).

Each insert can hold all components related to the faction :

• 21 cards with sleeves up to 100µm

• All cardboard tokens ( and dice)

• And optionally some meeple to replace the cardboard tokens

You will need 1 insert for each faction.
The 12 fit in the Monumental - Lost Kingdom expansion box.

You can fit 2 “Civilization Chest” with my insert for the base game in place of the automa deck..

In order for them to fit in the chest (and to look nice on the board) I scaled them (face up) at (X Y Z) :

• Warlord x1 : 20x30x10mm

• Soldier x9 : 15x15x10mm

• Explorer x2 : 15x20x10mm

• Outpost x2 : 17.5x25x10mm

• Trading Post x2 : 20x15x10mm

If like me you want to print each chest in a different color matching the color of the faction, this is what I used (for reference) :

• Egyptians : Savannah Yellow

• Japanese : Army Red

• Danish : Sapphire Blue

• Chinese : Forest Green

• Greeks : Muted White

• Aztecs : Pastel Peach

• Amazons : Army Dark Green

• Mughals : Army Brown

• Atlantis : Muted Blue

• Zulu : Muted Green

• Malians : Pastel Peanut

• Aksumites : Electric Indigo

All Polymaker Polyterra filament (I'm not sponsored by them, I just like their products and color palette).
The colors aren't a perfect match but are close enough for me, and different enough to not get mixed up during play.

• I've included two versions of each files
• Full : Full body pieces
• Print faster

• Sturdier

• Honey : Nice honeycomb pattern on each faces (the side pattern is a little wider than the top and bottom to make it easier to print with any printer)
• Look nicer in my opinion

• Use a lot less materials

• More fragile but sufficient.

• You can mix and match versions as you wish

• All the parts are optimized to be printed with :
• Nozzle : 0.4

• Layer height : 0.2 (including the first one)

• Outer & Inner Walls : 115% (or 0.46mm)

• Wall loops : 3

• Infill density : 10%
