Hello,

for those that don't know my ‘insert philosophy’ - I am creating modular inserts that are focused on reducing setup and space on table, filament consumption is not my highest priority, but of course I'm trying to save some material where I can.

Update 27.10.2024 - version 2.0:
  • major redesign, all files replaced with new ones. Old files are in Version 1 folder,
  • 15 models resulting in 16 printed parts in old design vs 11 models resulting in 12 parts. Mostly I combined few models to reduce filament requirements,
  • around 890g on my current settings needed for 1st version vs 707g for 2nd version. 180g lighter!
  • I added more space for shield and vine bonus tiles,
  • I added tiny bit more space for coins and workers,
  • I added 2-3mm more space for hex tiles - now hex tiles with stickers should fit. In version 1.0 they fit, but barely, it's very tight fit,
  • In version 1.0 Minis, Vine Boards holders and one spacer were each divided into 2 models, in this version I combined them into 1 model each to save some filament.
Important Notes:
  • It should fit acrylic hexes with stickers, mine fit without issues, but if you have thicker stickers they could not fit, I didn't have any space left unfortunately to increase the margin, currently the margin is around 2mm.
Supports:
  • vertical storage ,
  • sleeves - 70 micron (even sleeves on cardboard tiles),
  • acrylic tokens ,
  • acrylic hexes - with stickers,
  • playmat.
This insert features:
  • minis holder ,
  • tiles holder - for hex tiles, workers, coins, goods and bonus tiles holder , which can be taken out and put on the board,
  • solo cards holder ,
  • shields and vine bonus tiles holder ,
  • setup holder - for player components.
Requirements:
  • about 707g of filament (depends on your settings, I printed with 15% gyroid infill, 2 walls, 5 top and 3 bottom layers).
  • at least 253mm x 200mm print bed (but you could easily cut the largest models - Minis_Holder, Vine_Boards_Market_Holder, Spacer__1 or you could print these models from 1st version, they're almost the same size and will fit into the new version, but they will require a bit more filament).
Instructions:

Supports - no supports required.

  • every file ended with xX (for example x16) - print X times (in given example - 16 times),
  • refer to pictures how to organize the box,
  • Spacers - 4 walls, no top and bottom, honeycomb infill, 3%.
What future holds:
  • I think this insert is done.
Upgrade guide:
  • it's for people, who already printed first version,
  • 1st level (minis, solo cards, duches, spacers) - you don't need to reprint anything here. I would only recommend checking spacers - they may be to tall in the first version.
  • 2nd level - you will need to print Setup_Holder, Bonus_Tiles_Holder and Tiles_Holder. You may want to also print Shield_Vine_Bonus_Tiles_Holder as it's a bit larger in the current version and Vine_Boards_Market_Holder as there is a bit more space for

Enjoy!
