Let's organize Inventors of the South Tigris board game. As a very novice designer, this was definitely a challenge to get all the bits organized in a way to fit in the box but also speed up setup.

Just a few notes about what may be confusing. Some inserts are tight, some have thin walls, some parts you can eliminate top/bottom layers to speed up printing but not required.

Tower Tiles are tight. I lightly sanded the inside of each compartment on the outer edges to make it easier. If your printer prints smoother than mine, maybe this won't be a problem. After a few times inserting/removing them, they are much better. Each slot holds the 5 tower tiles and 1 tent tile.

The player boxes will hold all bits needed per player including the two camel tiles.

For the card holder, the larger opening holds the device cards, the smaller opening fits all other remaining cards.

The pass tile part also has a compartment for the remaining misc. bits (1st Player marker, the 3 dummy tiles, the black worker, and black influence).

The player boards will cover the dice, device boards and pass tiles. The raised bit on the pass tiles keeps the player boards from shifting.

The Scorepad sits in the bottom right corner and is covered by the small white dice tray, the cards (with opening facing the box wall), and the Invention Tiles. *When printing the card holder, you'll need to rotate it with the slots pointing up.

The main board will be in the upper right corner. The coins and bottom spacer help to prevent board movement. I chose to glue the spacer to the invention tiles instead of incorporating into the part to eliminate the need for supports.

Parts i printed with ZERO top/bottom Layers at 10% grid infill: Coins, Workshop, Tower, Device, White Dice, Color Dice, Player Lid, Misc. Lid.

Parts with THREE top/bottom layers: Player Boxes, Pass Tiles, Cards, Invention tiles, spacer.

Lastly, there is still some space between the main board (and instructions) and the lid of the box, so this insert can fail the shake test unless material is added to fill that gap. I added lids for the misc. pieces and player boxes to help keep pieces in place during normal movement. I cut up the punch board scrap in in the same size as the main board to further help. I didn't realize there would be that much gap when I started. Most parts take between 1-3 hours to print.

UPDATE: I just received the expansion and pleased that there is room with this insert. The workshop tiles can be placed in the same holder with the base game tiles. The wild dice/black tent/apprentice/sponsorship marker/musician will fit in the misc parts area, but the first player marker needs to be removed. The first player marker as well as the laboratory tile, and 6 grey invention tiles can be distributed amongst the dice trays. The character boards can be placed evenly across the player boards and tiles. Then the main board and rules on top. The character boards actually fill the negative space making a it more "shake resistant" insert.
