Why I built this

I've always had a lot of hobbies, and when I love something, I go all in. Board games. 3D printing. Board game inserts. Photography.

What I love most is how they naturally come together. I'm constantly printing board game inserts, upgrading and blinging my games, and I still get excited about setting up a table and capturing it in photos.

I spent years as a full-stack developer, building sites for work and for fun. Life pulled me away from it for a while, and LayerUp Games is my way back in.

I was tired of hunting across site after site to find the right insert. So I built the tool I wished existed.

The blog moved here

My board game blog, Tabletop Glow Up, now lives on LayerUp. Every insert, upgrade and essential I write about is on the LayerUp Blog, with lots of photos of beautiful games.
