About the Game

1453: Siege of Constantinople is a solo wargame where the player takes the role of Mehmed II and the Ottoman forces laying siege to Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine empire. Win the game by completely depleting a section of the Theodosian walls of pieces (representing both the strength of the wall and the Byzantine troops). Increase the pressure on the defending the troops by taking actions that represent mining under the wall, firing the giant Basilic cannon and hauling your ships overland to bypass the great chain of the Golden Horn.

Byzantine defensive actions will be determined by a card draw and may include repairing and manning the walls, counter mining and naval actions. Your available actions will be limited by the combinations you are able to make when rolling four dice. Choose the best combinations of actions to conquer the city before your supplies and the draw pile run out.
