About the Game

1953: Everest transports players to one of the last great adventures of the twentieth century: the race to conquer the highest mountain on Earth. After decades of failed attempts through Tibet and years of geopolitical upheaval, a narrow window opens through Nepal. Nations mobilize resources, recruit climbers and sherpa teams, and prepare expeditions to reach a place no human has stood before.

Each player leads a national expedition with a single objective: become the first to reach the summit of Everest.

Throughout the game, players build their ascent step by step, transforming a growing mountain of cards into both the route to the summit and the infrastructure needed to sustain it. Resources must be transported upward, camps established, equipment secured, and key moments chosen carefully before weather conditions deteriorate and the monsoon forces everyone back down.

Across a limited number of weeks, expeditions compete and adapt to changing conditions while balancing long-term preparation against the urgency of the climb. Every decision shapes the mountain itself: where to establish support, when to advance, and which climber will attempt the final assault. Efficient logistics, timing, and tactical use of cards are essential to overcoming the mountain and writing your expedition into history.
