About the Game
3-D Chess is played on a 4x4x4 grid. The published board is a two dimensional representation of a three dimensional board. Special rules govern the movement of the pieces in the third dimension. White begins on the upper most level, while Black begins at the bottom. The object is the same as traditional chess - checkmate the opposing king.
