Acres 2027

It is a beautiful day in the Yellow Pine forests of Arkansas and through the trees you hear a light humming. Is it a train? No, you hear the snap of a branch, then another, then a quick, “TIMBER!” as a tree is being logged. Was that on your property?

Acres is a game about controlling harvest lanes, leveraging long term investments, and planning fifteen years at a time. Acres is a game of simple rules but sharp decisions centered around the Lumber industry.

Players will draft actions from a set of four options: Growing trees, Thinning an acre, Harvesting lanes, and Go to market. While the players have drafted specific actions, all players will resolve all actions. The players who drafted specific actions receive action specific bonuses.

Throughout the game players have the opportunity to purchase: fences, blocking other players from harvesting lanes, additional trucks, to harvest more trees at a time, and Assets investments such as starting their own sawmill company or increasing truck capacities. The player at the end of six rounds with the most money wins!
