About the Game

Adulting is a cozy, engine-building card game about the mundane struggles of adulthood. Build a deck of attitudes that helps you complete a healthy balance of chores and self-care. Negotiate with your housemates to make sure all of the chores get done or you'll get stressed out. Just like life, there are no winners or losers. You decide how much you’d like to work together or fend for yourselves. With some effort and a little bit of luck, you can avoid burnout and become your ideal self!

Adulting is a mix of tableau-builder and deck-builder. Your tableau represents the chores and self-care tasks that you complete each day. Your deck represents your attitudes. You must play an attitude card from your deck that matches the symbol on your chores and self-care in order to complete them and use their actions. Your goal is to have more self-care than stress at the end of the game. Multiple players can achieve positive outcomes. Collaboration can be helpful, but is not required. It's up to you to decide how well you'll work with others.
