About the Game

Since the 1990s, Tokyo’s old Electric Town has evolved into the beating heart of pop culture. A dazzling mix of neon lights, anime, cafés, and arcades. In Akihabara, players compete to design the most iconic buildings along Chūo Dōri, the district’s famous main street.

Each player manages four buildings where they will open themed shops: Cafes, karaoke bars, restaurants, purikura photo booths, and arcades.

On your turn, you’ll draw biz cards to reveal new shops. You can keep drawing to find better combinations, but if the total of gashapon machines exceeds three, an inspection shuts you down for the turn! Knowing when to stop and when to risk it is key.

Once you’ve chosen your shops, you place them in your buildings, floor by floor. Aligning shops of the same brand vertically creates taller and more valuable businesses, while achieving color majorities across the same floor gives horizontal points. Completing an entire floor across all your buildings earns you a gashapon sign, which marks special floors that can score extra points later.

When someone completes two full buildings, the final round begins. Players then reveal their neon billboard, which doubles the score of one chosen building.

In the end, the winner is the player whose skyline shines the brightest, with the best mix of tall businesses, colorful floors, and perfectly placed gashapons!
