As one of the Diadochi, heir of Alexander the Great, you must control territories, but above all, gain legitimacy by controlling the royal family and defeating your opponents in battle. Recruit armies with pezhetairoi, hetairoi, and elephants. And also fleets of penteras. Move them across the Macedonian empire to complete missions or engage other Diadochi. Place allied garrisons in the most useful key territories. And make short-lived pacts to gain the legitimacy necessary to seize a significant portion of the empire. The game uses a card engine that is improved during gameplay through a deckbuilding system. Dice are used in combat to add excitement, and random events are triggered, providing objectives for the diadochi.
