About the Game

Apit-Sodok (Malaysia) or Mak-yek (Birma) is played on a 8 by 8 board with sixteen pieces on each side. In the initial setting pieces are covering the first and third row in front of the player. Pieces move like the rook in Chess. Capturing is both by interception (custodian capture) and intervention (when a friendly piece is moved between two or more hostile ones).
