Now, millennia later, it’s your turn to make your mark on history. It’s time the Eternal Empire gave up these weak aspirations of regional power. You will lead Rome to become what it was always meant to be: a global empire.

As Rome’s leader, you will need to manage the Empire’s resources wisely, build and fine-tune the economy, and lead your armies into glorious conquest. And, most importantly, you will construct magnificent monuments to honor the Ancients. But you must not become careless. Your enemies scheme at your borders, looking for an opportunity to invade and destroy what you’ve built. Can you lead Rome to victory and global dominance, all while devoting resources to honoring your ancestors?

But why stop there? Our destiny reaches beyond the firmament. One day, Rome will be an interplanetary empire. One day, she’ll take control of the stars.

Astra Imperium is a fast-playing resource management game for one player.

Draw cards and manage tough decisions about what to use them for each turn. Collect industry, science and military resources. Spend those resources to conquer regions or build buildings to improve your engine. Or, work towards constructing monuments with powerful abilities and scoring potential. Be sure to save enough military resources to defend from increasingly menacing enemy invasions at the end of each round!

After round 3, compare your score to the history books to gauge your success.

Instead of one-off games, you can play through 5 multi-stage campaigns that drastically change up gameplay and help you discover new strategies. Play the campaigns in order to guide Rome through an epic saga of rising to power, struggling through decline, traveling through space to find a new home planet, fighting off unique invading forces, and even terraforming.
