About the Game

In At the Edge of Dreams, you play as the dreamer, wandering through a land beyond conscience, and encountering good and bad things. Every sign you find and bring to focus while sleeping can be useful in your quest, but only if you don't get restless, or take too much time. Can you control your dream landscape enough to achieve a lucid dream?

Gameplay

You start with a few tiles/cards on the table, and 3 stacks of new tiles/cards to the side. Tiles/cards are double-sided. One side is a "dream", the other is a "vital sign". Each turn you must play 1 tile onto your dream. You decide which side the tile will be played on, but only get to see the "dream" side before deciding. You must bring "vital signs" into focus by placing adjacent dreams that match the sign requirements. If you have too many vital signs of the same kind, you become restless, and those signs are removed, causing some dreams to become signs, which in turn can cause restlessness. If you run out of tiles from two stacks or from the play area, you wake up and lose. You win by achieving a lucid dream by bringing all 6 different vital signs into focus.
