About the Game

Welcome to a drama of fated encounters, emotional tension, and romantic power dynamics. In BL Trick-Taking, players take on the roles of classic boys’ love (BL) archetypes (Tsundere, Do-S, Muscle, and more) forming couples through clever trick resolution. Only the most fitting combinations of aggressive “seme” and vulnerable “uke” will win the hearts (and points) of the fandom. But sometimes the roles reverse... and when a “reversible” card shows up, the whole power balance flips.

BL Trick-Taking is a trick-taking game where each card represents a BL character archetype with a strength value and a role (seme or uke). Players play one card per trick, and the strongest seme is paired with the weakest uke to form a couple. Each resulting couple scores points based on how “shippable” the match is according to a predefined table. Occasionally, “reversible” (リバ) cards shift the suit hierarchy, introducing dynamic power flips mid-game. Bonus points are awarded for thematic consistency—like achieving a “total uke” or “total seme” hand. It’s a campy, strategic game of roleplay, rhythm, and reading the room.
