About the Game

Bad Queens Allowed is a trick-taking game for 2 players utilizing strawpiles, a fixed trump rank in the Queens, and an inverted ranking system where the strongest cards are worth the least amount of points, and the most valuable cards are the easiest to lose.

In this game, once a trump suit is named, the three remaining Queens become the so-called “Bad Queens,” and along with the rest of the trump suit, these Bad Queens may be played at any time. Therefore, no matter what leads, Bad Queens Allowed.

The game was designed for use with Sean Ross’s Trifle deck, but is playable with a standard deck as well. Additionally, Bad Queens Allowed is a reimagining of Ross’s excellent game Vidrasso, with some tweaks to make it function with the Trifle deck but then also make it a unique experience on its own.
