About the Game

Play the French disaster of disasters in three hours.

The objective is to make a fast-played and fundamentally simple campaign system that can be used for most wars of the 1700-1880 period. The system will focus on command and have a distinct "you are here" -feel. The system rules will be a maximum of 16 pages long including examples and notes and a lot of pictures. Nothing is set in stone, yet, but the scale is something like 1500 meters per hex and three turns per day (morn, noon, night). Units will be divisions and brigades. Combat happens in hex during movement. There will be no chits drawn out of cups, but there will be messengers carrying orders around on the map. There will be no rules with French names, but there will be a stress on the quirks of characters involved.
