Battle Box: Sagas 2026

Battle Box - Sagas is a complete skirmish wargame in a small tin box that fits in your pocket set during the dark ages. It includes 12 meeples in 2 colours, a configurable battlefield in 3 double sided strips, 6 dice, and a deck of 36 action cards, providing a full wargaming experience in a box.

Each turn a player plays cards from their hand, choosing between actions such as a tactical advance towards the objective, rallying your winded warriors with a warcry, retaliating against an enemy attack, charging into battle and many other unique actions suited to the age of Viking sagas. The game objectives are defined by scenarios included with the game or by the player.

Combat is resolved by rolling and keeping the highest of a number of 6-sided dice depending on the action card used and the tactical situation of the warriors. Positioning is key, but bold decisive action can win the day!

The rules can be used in any order setting where spears, axes, swords and shields are the primary battlefield weapons; such as the Crusades, Roman wars, or even a fantasy medieval tournament.
