About the Game

Berit means covenant and promise. It is the story of a commitment born from God’s initiative, unfolding through generations and guiding a people called to live with justice, mercy, and faithfulness. In a world marked by violence and ambition, Berit proposes another way: a life shaped by righteousness, cooperation, and love for others.

In Berit, players take on the roles of Abraham, Jacob, Moses, and David, developing the covenant through five interconnected elements: God, Land, Nation, Law, and Victory. Together, these elements are placed in the shared Faith Base, where the promise gradually takes shape and the Kingdom begins to be revealed.

On each turn, the active player places an action piece in the Market to obtain resources or mandates. These resources can be used to complete mandates and place new element tiles in the Faith Base, following placement rules inspired by Sudoku. Players can also collect gifts, unlock helpers, and fulfill objectives by creating specific patterns with the tiles. Some decisions contribute to the shared development of the Faith Base, while others help each player pursue their own strategy.

The game ends after all players have used their action pieces. Points are awarded for fulfilled objectives, collected gifts, completed mandates, and unused helpers. The player with the most points wins.

Each decision reflects a stage of the covenant, reminding players that true greatness is not found only in power or conquest, but in faithfulness, wisdom, and the ability to build something meaningful together. The covenant remains alive, the promise moves forward, and the Kingdom is built wherever justice and mercy are found.
