Beyond MiG Alley is a follow-on development of the Blood Red Skies rules from Warlord Games. As an outgrowth of Andy Chambers' plans to develop a Vietnam-era rules set, Beyond MiG Alley is an authorized extension of the core Blood Red Skies rules into the late 1960's jet era, complete with air-to-air missiles, electronic warfare and advanced ground-based defenses.
Revamped Air-to-Ground attack rules model the increased risk of shootdowns from Surface-to-Air missiles, and the reduced survivability of the aircrews while "on government time" in the attack run.
New Aircraft Trait Cards, Theater Cards and Doctrine Cards help the players to model the air forces and aircraft for a variety of combatants in conflicts around the world.
