Black Rain 2013

Black Rain is a cooperative adventure game themed around tragical figures, who tries to escape their Destiny or to fullfill it. The players choose from 12 Characters and lead them through the streets of the Dark City. With each location they reach, new events unfold, which alterate their destinys and unlock skills and knowledge about the backgroundstory of the Dark City. The more the players explore their Destinies, collecting Destiny-Markers and unlock Events, the harder their struggles become.

Each player taking a Character Card, with some Traits and a Portrait, additionally taking 2 more treat Cards, to have variations. Than he choose his Destiny Cards, a Katharsis Card and a Hybris Card, which define his aims in Play and which Destiny Tokens he has to collect. After the players collect their Destiny-Markers acording to their hidden Cards, they activate their Destiny Cards, which contains a final Event. The more Events they unlock, the more Cards will be in their Hand, combining Deckdrafting rules with Co-Op-Gameplay. Booth destinies can be fullfilled or broken, with strong effects on the character. There will be a Board/Citymap ala Arkham Horror, with events taking place on different locations by eventcards. This Cards can contain challenges or encounters, causing the player to throw a dice and try to use skills of their characters and cards from their hand to result the Event.
