About the Game

Blockhunters is a thrilling board game based on the technology behind bitcoin. It incorporates concepts like mining, nodes, nonces, private keys, halvings and the mempool! Like in real life, Bitcoin rewards become more increasingly scarce, and it's important to protect your private key!

Players must balance cooperation and competition to win the game. The ultimate goal? Collect as much Bitcoin as possible.

Here’s how it works: Players fill the mempool with transaction cards and, as secretly as possible, place bitcoins on transactions that match the private key(s) they hold.

Every round, players “mine” by drawing nonces (number tiles) from a bag, aiming for the nonce closest to the sum of the transactions in the previous block. The winner of the mining round gets to choose which transactions are added to the block, confirming them – and earning a bitcoin reward!

The game continues for 9 blocks, and at the end, all cards are revealed. The player with the most bitcoins on transactions corresponding to their private keys is crowned the winner!

But beware – being too obvious about your private key’s identity can make you a target. If another player gets the opportunity, they can guess which key is yours... if they're correct, they steal it and claim all your hard-earned coins.

Blockhunters involves luck, strategy, memory and bluffing. It is made for bitcoiners, precoiners and anyone with a competitive spirit (ages 14+) to enjoy! It's the perfect way to share the importance of the monetary revolution with your friends and families!
