About the Game

There's panic on the farm: all the feed is gone! Did the farmer forget it, or did the pig eat it? Rumors fly across the table, mischief is everywhere and no one can be trusted. Gather clues, play your animals at the right moment and throw others off the scent. Can you embrace the chaos and unmask the culprit?

Play animal cards and use their abilities wisely. Who do you suspect: the farmer or the pig? Investigating witness cards gets you further… but keep your knowledge secret! Do you call for a vote, or hold off until you have more information? Reveal the culprit, collect points and win!

—description from the publisher

Boerenbedrog is played over three rounds. At the start of each round, place three witness cards face down in the middle of the table Each witness card shows either the pig or the farmer; the majority determines the culprit for that round.

On your turn, discard your current animal, draw a card and play a new animal in front of you. Each animal belongs to one of the suspects (the farmer or the pig), has a special ability, and lets you either look at a witness card or call for a vote.

When a vote is called, all players vote "Yes" or "No" at the same time. Yes tokens are never used up, but each player has only a limited number of No tokens. If everyone votes "Yes", the round ends. A single "No" works as a veto: every player who voted "No" loses one of their No tokens, and play continues with the next player.

At the end of the round, every player whose animal matches the actual culprit gets to set aside one of the two cards in their hand. These cards score points at the end of the game. After three rounds, the player with the most points wins.
