Breakout: 1st Panzer Army allows one or two players to examine the operational possibilities inherent in the battle between the Soviets and Germans that occurred in the northwest Ukraine during March and April 1944.

Each full turn represents three days. Each hex on the map represents 4.2 miles (6.8 km) from side to opposite side.
