C'est la Vie 1991

In this game players must gain friends in an apartment building in order to win the chance to rent the penthouse.

First each player receives a number of cards which are played in the second phase of the game: these cards tell him of the relationships between the current inhabitants of the building allowing him to select the best road to victory.

After this the players receive a number of character traits and outfits. In order to befriend an inhabitant, one must meet this person while wearing the correct outfit and using the correct character trait. (play the correct cards). These cards can be traded at the local shrink or boutique. After a few rounds of moving around and making friends, the second phase starts. In this phase the relationships are put into play by playing the cards mentioned above: having befriended some people, but not others may gain you more friends. Each player only knows of the relationships on his cards, which means that other players may have some surprises for you.
