About the Game
Welcome to Chocoland, a world made entirely of sweets! Its capital, Candy Utopia, is a lively and colorful city with chocolate streets, caramel pavement, and houses made of soft marshmallow. The city is divided into several districts, each managed by the ingenious Gummy Bears, who work alongside skilled workers from various confectionery enterprises:
The expert district builders of CaraFuel The masters of cutting-edge technology from JellyTech The tireless party spirits of BubbleFun The reliable digital specialists of MarshMail
The most eagerly awaited moment of the year is the Great Sweets Festival, a competition that lasts three days and puts the city's districts to the test. The Gummy Bears compete to improve their districts, enriching them with sweet activities and ever-expanding blocks. Each day of the festival represents a stage of improvement, and at the end of each stage, a piñata full of bonuses opens up: resources, decorations, and upgrades that are useful for the districts. At the end of the festival, the Gummy Bears score their improvements and bonuses.
In more detail, a game of Candy Utopia is played over three days, each consisting of three turns per player. During the game, players build their districts by placing ChocoMix tiles made up of various types of terrain. They place workers to actions — called "activities" — and each activity moves a player on one of five thematic tracks, unlocking progressive bonuses, active powers, extra turns, or enhanced card/tile draws. Each activity is placed following distance and positioning rules, and their placement directly impacts future activities.
Cards can be played for instant effects, used to complete objectives, or saved to score end-game points; players will also compete over piñata cards, which are shared goals related to district building or card management and which award bonus points at game's end.
