Cantankerous Cats (Third Edition) 2025

You are a Cat. You live in a House. You share this house with your pet Hoomin. Shower this Hoomin with your Affection, then cause as much Mischief as you can without being thrown out of your House. The first Cat to score 9 Mischief points is the winner of the game!

In this furrocious feline card game of mischievous machinations, you play the role of a Cat doing what cats do best: tormenting their Hoomin pets! Play Affection cards into your House to gain their trust, then wait for the right moment to play Mischief cards to score points.

But be quick about it! The other Cats in your Neighborhood will play Incident cards to slow your progress to give themselves the upper claw.

This remixed, remastered, and renewed THIRD EDITION of our beloved indie title has been refined and remastered with the following updates:

Streamlined rules for faster, family friendly gameplay at ALL difficulty levels. Graphic design and rule enhancements to keep the game fresh for 2025. All illustrations have been rescanned to archival standards for more detailed paintings. INCLUDES the previously unreleased expansion: "Cantankerous Cats and the Kitten Catastrophe"

"Kitten Catastrophe" includes 13 new cards that can be mixed into the base game for easier scoring and more kittens!

Designed by the original Cantankerous Cats team with refinements by Jason Serrato and Aven Gonzalez. The stunning watercolor tradition continues with new adorable kitten illustrations by Amanda Kahl, Rebecca Rhodes, and Aven Gonzalez.'
