About the Game

Russian General Barclay de Tolly on the evening of August 18, 1812 decided to pullout of the battle of Smolensk and continue the retreat to Moscow. The Russian army got lost, and did not get far before the French advance guard found the rear guard of the Russian Army near the villages of Valutino, and Valutina-Gora.

This is a scenario booklet for Charge! Eagles Rising as this rearguard battle neared Loubino and the main line of retreat for the Russian army the morning of August 19, 1812. This scenario has about 50,000 men per side and is at the battalion level.

This scenario can be adapted to any Napoleonic rules set.
