About the Game
Chat Noir is a card game that takes its root in the traditional, 4 suites - 52 playing cards game. It's a 2 to 4 players game, but can be played with more people by adding another deck. The same rules apply weather an additional deck is used or not.
It features illustrations in a vintage style, in the following themes: Clover features symbols of luck, Hearts features romantic imageries, Diamonds features symbols of bad luck, and Spades features only black cats in various decors.
Players choose a secret "lucky" card from their starting hand, and then they take turns drawing a card, and playing combinations from cards of their hand, if they can, and want, to score points. Any player can capture others' combos with Spades cards (Black cats) and steal the points.
Each player grows their own pile of "won" cards from combinations they played or captured until the game ends, when the draw pile empties. Players reveal their "lucky" card and score additional points that can totally reverse the outcome of the game. The player with the highest final score wins.
