About the Game

This game is played with a standard deck of cards. Both players are dealt ten cards, and then they play one card face up in their turn till both have 5 cards played or one of them folds. In the first case the winner is the player with the best Poker hand and his score depends on the number of cards played, at the rate of 1 for the first card, 2 for the second, and so on. Then they draw till ten cards and continue and the next round starts.

1) Play one card at a time face up, alternating, starting with non-dealer/winner, up to five cards each. 2) Other player either Folds, or plays one card face up into his tableau. 3) Players can’t go beyond five cards each, i.e. a full poker hand. 4) Winner scores for the number of cards played by both (see scoring table), and both hands get filled back to 10 card, cards off deck one at a time starting with winner. 5) Leader instead of playing first card may declare “low ball”, putting five cards face up or face down. Other player then either folds (15 pts to leader), put 5 cards face up (lower poker hand wins 30), or discards by putting five cards face down (5 pts to leader if leader’s cards face down, 15 pts to leader if leader’s cards face up). 6) Game ends when a player has fewer than 5 cards in his hand.
