About the Game

BECOME A HUNTER!

Cursed Hunter is a game set in a dark fantasy universe inspired by European and Asian legends and folklore. You play a pariah, rejected by society for a past offense, who has become a hunter as a result of troubled circumstances. To earn a meager living and survive on the outskirts of the city of Lys, you hunt down, on behalf of the officials, all humans and creatures that disturb the prosperity of the city and its merchant guilds.

As you explore the lake, you'll discover mysterious and dangerous places, meet unexpected people, and face terrifying enemies. Your condition as a hunter gives you unusual powers and the ability to confront these dangers, but it comes with a price that must be paid...

Gameplay: Once you've created your character and filled in the character sheet, you'll move on to the Lake map. Each night you'll have 3 action points to spend on travelling, exploring or trying to solve moon hunts. At the end of each night, you can camp to heal yourself, collect food or learn new disciplines. Each successful hunt will bring you trophies, which you can exchange for banners and copper coins.

The game is extremely replayable and every session is different, thanks to the random events and hunts drawn according to the moon. Challenges and hunts are resolved by rolling dice following an original D6 system.

Victory condition: you'll have 24 nights to collect 10 banners to restore your rank or heal your curses and finally find peace. If fate spares you, you have a slim chance of escaping corruption, ravage, void and inhumanity...

Defeat condition: the games ends after 24 nights or if you get 4 Curses.
