About the Game

What if you never get OUT ... of the bocage? ??

Our landing in Normandy and the battle in/through? the bocage. 10 10-day turns. Division level, except in a couple instances including Tigers! 8 miles per hex. Uses many mechanics from my NW Europe 1944. Allied air supremacy - tactical and strategic. Will the German player allow us to seize Cherbourg in a coup de main? (In the very first playtest game, Cherbourg was taken by us, intact! 352. InfDiv was obliterated by naval gunfire - a 1/6 chance - and 4th and 90th InfDivs landed easily. The 243. Static Div then did get into it first, but didn't have time to Deploy and the port was taken by our guys before it could be blown!) Can Pvt Roberts and Sgt Culin come up with their "rhino tank" idea to get us through the bocage hedgerows and out-maneuver the Germans still confined/restricted by/in it ... in time? If they do, and we start our breakout, can the Germans cut it off ... at Mortain or wherever else?
