箱庭少女 / Deep Forest (Hakoniwa Shōjo / Deep Forest) 2019

In a miniature garden world created and closed off by a witch's curse, 13 girls whose memories were stolen fell into darkness and became puppets of the witch. Work together, recover the girls' memories, escape the witch, and save everyone!

In the cooperative game 箱庭少女 / Deep Forest (Miniature Garden Girls / Deep Forest), players take on the role of birds in a miniature world. At the start of the game, only the players and the witch move around the board. Girls may appear as themselves when their memories are revealed, or they may enter the game as marionettes, still under the witch's control. Shadows serving the witch may also appear to threaten the players. The witch and her allies roam the map to capture players, and the players lose if they are all caught.

Once a girl has her memory back, players may lead her to the church, the one safe space. Rescuing a girl grants the player special abilities that will help as the game continues. Once all the girls have been rescued, players must escape through the Gate of Liberation. But be careful: If you are captured and the other players have escaped, there will be no one to rescue you!

If players are captured, or if a player is captured after all the other players have escaped, players receive the game's bad ending. If the players rescue all the girls and escape the miniature garden world, they receive the normal or the good ending depending on their score.
