About the Game
Manipulate and cooperate your way to dominance of the world’s first bourgeoning democracy in Ancient Athens.
The players aim to score the most points by successfully fulfilling the requirements of their secret Agendas and by building Public Works.
These secret Agendas dictate which Policies the player will want to pass or dismiss.
In order to pass or dismiss a Policy, players vote by spending Influence, which they draw in their turn, and Drachma, which can be used as bribes when voting on Policies or to fund Projects.
Once 7 Policies have been passed the game ends. The themes of these 7 Passed Policies dictate whether a player has been successful or unsuccessful in fulfilling their Agendas. Players then score Victory Points for any Agendas they have successfully fulfilled. Players lose points for any Agendas they have not fulfilled.
