About the Game

Two coalition naval forces are on the hunt for enemy subs. Though working together, each navy wants the bragging rights on how many subs they can destroy. Using their radar, ships will position themselves just above an enemy sub and release a depth charge in the water below. Whoever destroys the most subs, gets to brag!

Depth Charges is a two player, grid game that pits each player against each other to see who can destroy the most subs (cards) in the game. With each hit, you score victory points (VP). The deeper the sub is in the water, the more points you can score. Whoever has the most victory points at the end of the game, wins!

The game will be set up with a 3 X 4 grid. These represent the sub cards. On the outside of the grid are the coordinate cards. The are the cards you will alter to target a sub. To the left and the right of these cards, there will need to room to place cards down to represent both player's hit.

Each turn players will find a card you want to attack. Find the cards, outside of the grid, that intersect with that grid card. The player will then find a card from their hand that can mathematically be placed in such a way that a card value can subtract from the other to equal the value of the card in the grid. You will then claim that card and earn the points, at the depth (1,2,3 or 4). The player with the highest total, wins!
