About the Game

Derhome is a tabletop version of the word game Wordle, that allows use of words up to seven letters. It includes:

4 laminated worksheets for the guessers, with 6 rows of spaces for the guesses, and a keyboard on the bottom to mark showing which letters are or are not included. 4 privacy screens for the guessers to hide their worksheets. A laminated master sheet to record the current secret word, and the scores of all players. 4 black dry-erase markers, for the guessers. 1 yellow and 1 green marker for the referee.

It does not include instructions, but it's easy to figure out the rules:

In each round, a player is the referee and writes a secret word of up to 7 letters, and announces the length of the word. The other players are guessers, and take simultaneous turns writing guesses of the secret word. For each guess, the referee marks the guesses as in Wordle: letters that are in the right spot are circled green, letters in the word but the wrong spot are circled yellow, other letters are unmarked. When a player guesses the word, the number of guesses is recorded on the master sheet. If they failed to guess it in 6 tries, a higher number like 7 is recorded. After each player has had a turn as referee, the player with the lowest total guesses wins the game.
