About the Game

Drakkars is a 4x Viking game with exploration, pillaging and naval battles, all within an hour.

Drakkar or Drakkars are the iconic Viking longships, with the wooden dragon head carved at the bow to terrify enemies, and are the units the players are using in Drakkars.

The game plays with 1-4 players, each controlling a Viking tribe fighting for control of a newly discovered archipellago in the North Sea. Each player starts with a small village and expands throughout the map, discovering new islands to raid.

Each round, each player uses a single action card, with 2 or 3 different actions on it that allow them to expands from their territory, gain more resources, develop technologies, build ships and keeps and fight battles with enemy clans. Players will also be upgrading their cards by picking more advanced ones from a central deck.

A strong deckbuilding element combined with different end-game objectives allows a vastly different game experience in every play. Players gain Valor Points (VPs) by winning combats, controlling key territories and completing objectives before their opponents.

The game ends at the end of the turn in which a player has completed at least 3 objectives.

The artwork of the game has been made 100% by human imagination and talent, no gen AI has been used in any part of the process.
