About the Game
DUELING HORNS is a two-player competitive game of Viking Warfare, pitting two armies against each other in the field battle. Strategy and wit will win you the day.
Each player controls an army of nine warriors and one king in an epic showdown for control of the battlefield or to slay each other's king!
Warriors and kings can turn the tide of the battle and are able to move any number of spaces horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Players take turns moving one piece at a time, vying for position and striking down their foes. Movement is hindered by the shaded spaces in the center of the battlefield called the Mound. Players may also use their pieces to charge their enemies, stunning them for one turn.
In order to eliminate an enemy warrior or king, players must "Flank" their opponent's pieces by positioning their warriors or king on either side of an enemy piece.
The game ends when one of the kings have been eliminated, or when one player has gained control of the battlefield by removing all of their opponent's pieces from the Mound.
Each game box includes 20 painted game pieces, 5 metal coins, 1 Formation die, 1 battle board, and 1 barrows board.
