About the Game

Ein Schaf (also titled ひつじがいっぴき, or Hitsuji ga Ippiki in Japanese) is a simple children’s card game.

The deck consists of cards with anywhere from one to seven sheep on them. Play proceeds with one player playing the “one”, the next player playing the “two”, and so on in order of rank. Players may at any time take a card from the deck and reset the count to one. Players must take a card if they do not have the correct card to play. The first player to get rid of his or her entire hand is the winner.
