About the Game

The underground Einstein Telescope will be Europe's most advanced observatory for gravitational waves. It will allow researchers to hear black holes collide and learn about the early universe.

In the card game Einstein's Echo you build your own Einstein Telescope. You build and upgrade components for detections in low and high frequency, discover cosmic events such as supernovas and black hole collisions, and play cooperation cards to search for specific components and events. Cosmic events that are harder to detect are worth more points, and the player with the most points wins.

In order to detect certain events, you need sufficiently advanced components. The game comes with two play modes for detection: an auction-based mode where eligible players bid with cards, and a speed-based version.
