About the Game

Break the (d)ice from the floe! Try to score it before it melts away!

Will you keep a cool head or will your points run between your fingers?

In this quick dice game mass isn't everything. Because even if you gain the most ice in the first phase (breaking), you might lose it all in the second phase of the game (scoring).

At the beginning a 4x4 (d)ice floe floats between you. With the fire dice you break ice from the floe and gain it. And if you separate single dice from the rest you also gain those!

Once all the ice has been collected, you continue to the scoring phase. In this you try to turn your ice into points. But if you risk too much, it might melt instead. And even the other players threaten your ice. If they roll doubles, some of your ice might melt! Only a shield token can save you ... hopefully you've gained one in the breaking phase!

Eisbrecher can be played by families but it certainly rewards forward thinking and thoughtful risk taking.
