About the Game

Enxame is a competitive area-control game for 2–4 players in which each player leads one of four bee swarms descended from the once-unified Great Hive.

Before the game begins, players build the modular hexagonal board together, creating a different hive layout every match. Throughout the game, they expand their territory by placing soldiers and workers. At the beginning of each turn, players choose whether to roll one die or two. Rolling two dice allows them to deploy more soldiers, while rolling one die provides access to workers and, eventually, their queen. This choice creates a balance between rapid expansion and long-term development.

Opposing territories can be conquered through dice-based combat, with defenders winning ties. Because each swarm must always remain as a single connected group, capturing key spaces can split an opponent's hive and force them to abandon isolated territories.

The goal is to be the first player to establish a complete colony by placing their queen onto the board. The queen may only enter play after every soldier and worker from that swarm has already been deployed.
