Fast paced leveling up card game. Turn your secret identities into their Superhero or Villain counterparts as you race your opponents to the finish line on the BATTLEGROUND.
The Battleground is made of two rows with seven zones within them. The top zones are where you'll set down your protagonists, starting on the Neutral Zone and it's up to you to get them all the way to the last zone, The Nemesis Zone, defeat your opponent's Nemesis and win the game. The bottom row is for your deck, your HQ (discard pile) and five zones for your "Fate" cards.
Every turn you can advance each of your characters one zone and battle your within reach opponents to cripple their progress. In ExCowl, losing a fight isn't the end. When a character loses a battle you must invert the card with the number at the bottom now at the top acting like their new "strength."
Level up your protagonists and lead them to success or die trying!
