About the Game
FUGU! The Sushi Strategy Game is a strategy and resource-management game where players race to be the first to complete sushi recipes using ingredients like rice, soy sauce, avocado, and seaweed. The central mechanic revolves around collecting fish each turn either from the Bank (safe) or the Pond (risky), where players can draw multiple fish but risk losing everything if they draw the dreaded Fugu card.
Fish are spent to buy random resources, wildcards (which provide special powers like stealing, switching recipes, or selecting specific ingredients), or specific resources. Collecting and managing these resources lets players complete recipes and win. Drawing fish from the Pond can be a gamble, but the reward is faster progress and potential passive income if players save enough fish.
The Pro Game version adds complexity: players can complete others’ recipes to steal their fish, earn stars to win, and interact with upgraded rules for wildcards, resource discards, and passive income bonuses. With wild swings, sneaky plays, and shared information, FUGU balances strategic planning with push-your-luck tension, all wrapped in a whimsical sushi theme.
