Flotsam Falls 2023

We may never know what has happened because the current is too strong to let us escape. The water rushes with an unrelenting pull. The world’s ocean plummets off the endless waterfall. What is below, we cannot see for the spray. What is upstream we cannot reach for the current. All we know is what floats past. Civilisation has crumbled and now its edifices bob with the current.

You see one now, a former museum perhaps, whatever it was it looks like it would make a good addition to your city. You wind up the giant electromagnetic harpoon cannon and bring the building into sight. In the distance, on the other side of the flow you see activity. Do they really think they are going to take this building from us? We need it more!

Welcome to the twin cities of Flotsam Falls.

The ends of the earth are just the beginning.

As players you’ll be guiding one of the two cities. Each round the remnants of once great civilisations will slowly drift down the flow towards the waterfall at the end of the world. You’ll use these remnants to expand your city. The player who scores the most points from their city will be the winner.
